Wittenberg - Torgau - Leipzig

Sunday. First things first. Church at the Old Latin School. We weren’t sure of the start time so arrived early and got to visit with the pastor a bit. That meant he also had time to ask Laurie to play the organ for the service! They usually use canned music, so this was a treat for them. :-)

Then after church, we headed to Torgau to see Schloss Hartenfels. Torgau was an important civil seat during the Reformation.

Luther designed the chapel for the castle. Nice.

We even got to see one of the famous Torgau bears.

After our quick stop in Torgau, we went on to Leipzig to see the Bach museum and the St. Thomas Kirche Bach was Kantor in for so long.

A look down our street in Leipzig.

Tomorrow, a long drive down to the Bavarian Alps!
