Falling in Reverse

Falling in Reverse is the name of my daughter's favorite band. She went to see them last week and got her picture with the guitarist, Jacky Vincent. She was quite happy.

Based on similar pictures of girls a half century ago, I suspect it has something to do with a double dose of X-chromosome, especially when reacting to musicians (or those who pretend to be).

Fortunately, the effect is not permanent, and, in this case, will only add some more gray hairs to the father of the girl (in addition to those contributed by the father's son getting a driver's license).

I hadn't made the connection, but you're right. The more things change . . . :-)

And in the 1950s the girls (and women) screamed at the appearance of Elvis Presley; in the 40s the girls screamed for Frank Sinatra, and in the 30s it was Rudy Vallee. In the 1920's the girls' heartthrob was silent film star Rudoph Valentino.

Stop judging by appearances. Yes, he looked like that once upon a time. He doesn't anymore. Also, if you actually listened to his music, you would realize he's not pretending to be a musician. He is incredible. Pure talent. I have nothing more to say.
